Distributions

Food

  • The Food Bank for Monterey County hosts food distributions every 3rd Thursday from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at Saint Theodore’s Church.
  • Gonzales Community Food Pantry will be hosting a food distribution at 9AM on Friday (every 3rd and 4th Friday  of each month) at the Mission Annex on 4th & Day Streets.

Clothing

  • Gonzales Community Church Clothing Closet is open Tuesday-Wednesday  from 2PM to 4PM  & Thursday 1-3PM at the Mission Annex located on 4th and Day Streets. 

Gonzales Community News

  • We will be having our next Council Meeting on Monday, May 6th at 6PM in the Gonzales Council Chambers located at 117 4th St.
  • As time draws for our seniors to graduate from Gonzales High School, many are preparing to enter the workforce for the first time. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to participate in “interviewing” seniors. To participate in mock interviews. Email jasher@gonzales.k12.ca.us or idelatorre@gonzales.k12.ca.us these interviews will take place May 21 and 22, 2024. 
  • Narcan is now available at the Gonzales Fire Department, 325 Center Street Gonzales, CA 93926. Save a life. 
  • FREE Tire Recycling April 1st-May 19th @ Johnson Canyon Landfill located on 31400 Johnson Canyon Road. Open Sundays, ¡Abierto Domingos! Car/Truck Tires and a limit of 9 per trip. Residents ONLY!
  • Join us on Saturday, May 11 from 9:30-3:30PM for the first annual South County Youth Summit! South County Youth Councils hope to provide youth with the power and resources to help them navigate different aspects of life, Health & Wellness, College & Career, Workforce Development etc.
  • Attention Seniors! There will be a Senior Cooking class May 10, 2024 at 10am. Join us for awesome fun activities and new learning opportunities. 
  • Chair Yoga will begin Saturday May 11-25 every Saturday, at 9AM-10AM. Located at Vosti Center 107 Continental Drive Gonzales CA 93926. Payments can be made at Gonzales City Hall (147 4th Street Gonzales CA 93926), by phone (831) 675- 5000 or during the first class May 11, 2024 only cash and check. 
  • Spring is here! Keep Gonzales Beautiful by encouraging public awareness and participation in creating and maintaining a clean, beautiful, well-kept community throughout the City of Gonzales. Don’t Forget to Keep it beautiful by trimming your trees, decluttering and doing some spring cleaning!
